Flower Fun!

Hi Everyone!!

I have been having SO much fun this week playing with The Cutting Cafe's flower files! The two files I used are Paper Flower Template and Cutting File and the Layered Flowers Cutting File. They are so beautiful and go together so easily I just can't stop making them!! Last week you saw some of the flowers topping my inspiration blocks and I'm back today featuring them with a this week's DT project.

The idea for today's project came when I became interested (obsessed) with tags. :-) I've been watching youtube videos and I've been mesmerized by them. I've never made any before and really wanted to try one -- so this is what I made.

I am so happy with how this tag came out.  :-)  I just love this look!

I've been cutting out the flower layers when ever I've had leftover space on the mat. I collect the pieces and when I sit down at night I'll shape them all at the same time.

Once I had made all of the flowers I started playing with the arrangement on the tag. I pulled out a lot of embellishments from my stash and just started playing. I knew that I wanted to use lace and some metal pieces that I had just picked up from Hobby Lobby.

I felt like I still needed something more. I dug into my stash a little deeper and pulled out my rhinestone mesh, ribbon roses, and a couple of buttons -- NOW we are getting someplace!

To finish it off I added a tassel, some bling and looped ribbon through the top. I really like how this tag came out and I LOVE both of the flower files!!

  2. LOL...I think everyone on the team has lost their mind with this file. Not only can I not stop looking at the ones I've made, but I'm even more excited and amazed when I see how everyone else's came out and YOURS are sensational! I love the final arrangement on your tag. Truly shabby chic sensational. :D
    hugs to you,

  3. What a gorgeous tag! I can't wait to see everyone's flowers. I think we could have had a flower challenge for a whole month.
