Happy Easter!

***Don't forget to stop by and enter to win A Few of My Favorite things!***

Hi! Thanks for stopping by today! :-) I am SO excited!! The cold seems to moving out and the warmth is coming back! Woop! BOY, this was quite a winter!!

This week's DT project for The Cutting Cafe is too cute! I just LOVE how it came out!! The Egg Goodie Box was super easy to put together and a lot of fun to decorate.

I knew that I wanted to do a Spring-time spin on Steampunk -- and I think it came out really cute. After putting the box together I inked the edges and added pearl and lace trim around the box.

Then I grabbed a filigree piece to use as the base of the design.

Once I had arranged the buttons, gears and beads I covered the whole collage with gesso. I did a light coat of thinned brown paint (for the grooves) then painted the whole thing with purple and pink paint.

The finishing step was dry brushing metallic paint lightly across the top of all of the items.

I attached the arrangement to the top of the box and added a gem or two (WHAT -- did you really thing I could go without bling?? LOL)

Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget you can always find me on:
